Roger A. Isom, PRESIDENT/CEO

Roger brings over 20 years of environmental and safety experience to WAPA. Since 1992, Roger has worked for the California Cotton Ginners and Growers Associations and now WAPA. His responsibilities include the Association’s environmental, safety, pesticide, energy, labor, and transportation issues. He coordinates regulatory and legislative review and compliance programs for membership and works with local, state and federal agencies on these issues. Roger also performs environmental and safety audits of cotton gins, almond hullers and farming operations, including review of underground and aboveground storage tanks, air pollution equipment, and safety programs. He also prepares and reviews air pollution permit applications and coordinates emissions source testing programs. Prior to 1992, Roger worked for the Fresno County/San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District as a lead engineer in permitting, as well as managing the District’s air toxics program. Management of the District’s criteria pollutant emission inventory program was another of Roger’s responsibilities. Roger graduated in 1988 with a degree in Electrical Engineering from California State University, Fresno. He is a Registered Environmental Assessor in the State of California, and has an EIT Certificate from the State of California. Roger is also a member of the Air and Waste Management Association, American Society of Agricultural Engineers, and the National Fire Protection Association.
